A 28-year-old man, suspected of having raped one woman and trying to rape another, in a secluded spot on a beach in the area of Faro, was detained by the Judiciary Police.
The crime took place on June 21st, when the suspect approached a woman who was alone in that beach area and, "through violence, she tried to have sex", only failing to consummate the violation "due to the victim's strong resistance ».
The police investigation determined that "that same day and in the same area, hours before", the suspect had already raped another woman, who "was also alone".
The man, detained for the alleged practice of the crime of rape, was placed in preventive detention after being presented for the first judicial interrogation.
