On the 12th and 13th of June, the Palace of the Lieutenant, in Faro, reopens doors for a “Journey to the Center of the Palace”. During the two days, when the space's second anniversary is also celebrated, between 18 pm and 2 am, various artistic moments will take place with theatrical performances, music, poetic rehearsals and audiovisual projections, which will allow visitors to experience and imagine the spaces from the 00th century to the present day.
According to the organization, “just like in the famous science fiction work by Jules Verne – 'Voyage to the Center of the Earth', visitors are offered an exciting adventure and a journey full of diversity”.
In what might be called an illustrative expedition of times, the rooms and halls of the Palácio do Tenente will be redecorated to the nineteenth century, passing through the 20s, the decades of pop-art to the most contemporary expressions.
This initiative has the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
