Albufeira will celebrate World Environment Day, on June 5th, with an exhibition of environmental education activities. The initiative starts at 9:00 am in the Municipal Auditorium and runs throughout the morning.
The program has the participation of hundreds of children from kindergartens, primary schools and some users of homes and day centers in the municipality, who during the year were involved in various environmental projects promoted by the municipality.
At 10:10 am, the theater play “O Planeta Mágico” takes to the stage of the Auditorium. This is followed by the presentation of the video “Energy and Climate Change” executed by the 8th grade students of the Dr. Francisco Cabrita School, a visit to the Exhibition/Activities Show, shown in the foyer of the Auditorium, and the performances “Clean Planet – Mundo a Reciclar” and “O Lago”, starring a group of 3rd and 4th grade children from the Brejos school.
At the end, prizes will be awarded to the winners of the projects/competitions: A More Ecological Christmas in Albufeira, Energy and Climate Change and the Education Activities Exhibition.
