AlcoutimThe Alcoutim birth support measure, which allocates 5 thousand euros for every child born in the county, is being highlighted in the international press. Agence France Press wrote of the support and dozens of newspapers around the world reproduced the take of the news agency.

Alcoutim is highlighted, for example, in the The Guardian, na ITVAt EuronewsAt TV5 Monde, The Daily Star, from Lebanon, in the Times live, from South Africa, in the A Peruvian man, or The New Indian Express, among many others.

«Before becoming a ghost town, a Portuguese village facing the exodus of young adults and low birth rates, it gave an answer: pay parents 5 euros for each new baby», reads The Guardian.

O Birth Incentive Regulation provides for the attribution of support of five thousand euros, to be awarded over three years, to families residing in the municipality who have a baby, an amount that will have to be spent on basic necessities (hygiene, food, health, nurseries) and in establishments in the county.
