The Auditorium of the Fortaleza de Sagres, in Vila do Bispo, will host the eighth session of the expressive reading contest «Reading With…», tomorrow, Wednesday, the 10th of June, at 9:30 am.
The event will bring together 4th grade students from schools in Vila do Bispo, Aljezur and Lagos, the municipalities of Terras do Infante, and intends to make a contribution to the National Reading Plan.
This is a joint initiative of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the Services Directorate of the Algarve Region of the General Directorate of School Establishments, carried out within the scope of the DiVAM Algarve Monuments Enhancement and Promotion Program, whose primary objective is, according to the organization , «the promotion of interest in reading and in Portuguese-speaking authors».
«We believe that “Reading with…” is a reference and a link to raise awareness of reading by 1st cycle students in the municipalities involved», believes the Regional Directorate of Culture.
