new ARS Algarve headquartersThe release of properties and warehouses leased by the Regional Health Administration (ARS) Algarve and the change of its headquarters in Faro allowed that entity to save close to 300 thousand euros in two years.

According to ARS Algarve, these changes to property management allowed, in 2013, a reduction of around 261 euros per year and, in 2014, a reduction of around 25 thousand euros per year.

The new facilities at the ARS headquarters, in the Pingo Doce, Visualforma and Parque Escolar buildings, at the entrance to Faro, "in addition to belonging to a public entity, they meet all legal requirements and standards currently in force for the public sector", also allowing for "greater articulation and efficiency of the various services of the institution, operating in a more centralized space and in an area with better accessibility conditions'.

The former headquarters of ARS Algarve had been in operation since the 70s, in a private building, in Largo de S. Pedro, with other services dispersed in private properties in the city of Faro, «which often conditioned the access of users, as well as the articulation between the various services of the institution».

The new facilities of the Algarve Regional Health Administration are, according to this body, «more modern and functional», providing «better working conditions and accessibility for all its professionals and users».
