The 31-year-old woman who today, at lunchtime, had been shot with a shotgun by her ex-husband, at a snack bar in Faro, he ended up dying already in the hospital, I heard the Sul Informação.
The case took place around 13:50 at the snack bar «À Alentejana», on Travessa Carlos Porfírio, in Faro, where the mortal victim was recently working.
Witnesses say that, at lunchtime, with about 20 customers inside the establishment, the man, Portuguese, aged between 30 and 35 years old and resident in Matosinhos, entered the snack bar and started by drinking a coffee, probably to check. if the woman from whom he was separated was there.
Then he got out, went to his car, from which he took a semi-automatic shotgun, went back into the restaurant and fired several shots, which hit the woman but did not cause her immediate death.
The victim will have been hit in the arm, leg and abdomen. The woman was still transported by INEM to the Hospital de Faro, where he ended up dying, due to the severity of the injuries.
The snack bar owner said that, before shooting, the man shouted: "You want a divorce, do you?"
The same witness added that, after having fired the shots, the man remained inside the establishment, having even let out, without harming them, the approximately two dozen people, including children, who were there.
When the PSP arrived there, the man was already in the street, shotgun in hand, preparing to reload. It was at this moment that the police, who immediately surrounded the place, managed to detain him.
INEM was also called, having also transported the young woman to the Hospital de Faro, but this one ended up dying, victim of the seriousness of the injuries caused by the shots from the shotgun.
