Grupo Coral Adágio presents Adagio in Fusion, a fundraising concert that will take place at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, on Saturday, May 16, at 18:00.
Tickets are now on sale at the TEMPO ticket office for the symbolic price of 5 euros.
«This particular concert is part of a range of events carried out by our Association, with the aim of raising funds to help us overcome the current financial restrictions, so that the Adágio Choir – not forgetting the Children's Choir and the Youth Choir – may worthily continue his participation in exchanges at national and international level, to which he is invited», explains Augusta Glória, member of the choir.
In a fusion of arts, styles and eras, this late afternoon event will bring to TEMPO the presentation of several guests and very eclectic artistic and cultural genres – some in fusion with choral singing – ranging from the musicality of the berimbaus of the “Roda de Capoeira”, to the flavor of Tango sung and danced, passing by a Guitar Orchestra, or even by the sublime sound of the oboe, the piano, the operatic singing and the constant presence of the choral singing.
This show, in its artistic conception and production, is guaranteed by Maestro António Alves Pereira, with the support of TEMPO technicians.
O Adagio Choir Group was created in 1989, in Portimão, with Maestro António Alves Alferes Pereira in the artistic direction.
Its main objective is the dissemination of quality choral music through a varied repertoire, ranging from the Renaissance to the present day, passing through sacred polyphony, gospel, without forgetting Portuguese and foreign popular music.
Grupo Coral Adágio frequently participates in various sociocultural events, at the invitation of individual and collective entities.
