A head-on collision on National Road 125, near Almancil, this afternoon caused one person to be killed and one to be slightly injured. Traffic was cut off on this road for two hours, between 13:15 pm, the time when the alert was given, and 15:15 pm.
According to a GNR source, three light vehicles were involved in the accident, all with Portuguese registration, and the fatal victim is also Portuguese.
According to the CDOS, in addition to the GNR, the Loulé Fire Department and a VMER were also present.
During the period in which the road was closed to traffic, circulation was made through secondary roads alternative to the EN 125.
