The GNR caught the couple still inside the orange orchard, which they had entered without a license, with "more than a dozen orange bags" with them, totaling nearly 350 kilos of fruit, which they were preparing to transport in their car.

The duo, residing in the municipality of Albufeira, had already been "reported for this type of illicit activity days before, in roughly the same area, when, in the same vehicle, they consummated another theft of oranges", adds the GNR, in a statement.

The detainees are currently being presented to the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action of Silves to apply the coercive measures.
