cup leadersTiago Antunes (Sicasal/Liberty Seguros/Bombarralense), in juniors, and Daniela Reis (DN17 Poitou Charentes), in female elite, today left the José Poeira Trophy, in Odemira, in charge of the Liberty Seguros Portugal Cup.

The youth competition is very balanced. After Saturday, in the individual time trial for the opening of the Cup, the cyclists from the Bombarralense team had occupied the first three places, the opposition retaliated in this Sunday's online race, 118,6 kilometers, between Vila Nova de Milfontes and Odemira.

The winner of the online race was Filipe Rocha (Moreira Congelados/Feira/KTM), after 3h11m26s of the race, beating Daniel Silva (Sicasal/Liberty Seguros/Bombarralense) in the sprint. André Carvalho (CC Avidos/Metalização A. Lemos) headed the main chasing group, at 17 seconds.

Overall, Tiago Antunes took advantage of the fact that he was the most regular in the two competitions – third on Saturday and eighth on Sunday – to take the lead in the standings, with 95 points, five more than André Carvalho, and nine more in the than Filipe Rocha, who occupy the following places. João Almeida, winner of Saturday's race, dropped to fifth overall.

Among the female elite, the superiority of Daniela Reis, winner of Saturday's time trial and Sunday's online race, is notorious.

French team DN17 runner Poitou Charentes completed the 118,6 kilometers of today's race in 3h16m42s, 12m58s less than second place, Liliana Jesus (5 Quinas/Municipality of Albufeira), and 24m52s shorter than third, Celina Carpinteiro (5 Quinas/Municipality of Albufeira).

In the overall Cup, Daniela Reis has 40 points, 15 more than Liliana Jesus, second overall.

Soraia Silva (Bairrada), in juniors, and Marta Martins (ACD Milharado/EC Manuel Martins), in cadets, also won out in the two races of the weekend, leading the way in the respective categories.

In masters, Filomena Gomes (5 Quinas/Municipality of Albufeira) won the time trial and Teresa Fernandes (Clube Xelb) was the strongest in the online race, having taken the lead in general.

Clube Xelb and the 5 Quinas/Municipality of Albufeira team share the collective leadership.
