Janita Salomé will present her work “O Cravo ea Rosa” at the commemorative concert of the Carnation Revolution, in Tavira, scheduled for April 25, at 21 pm, at Praça da República, as part of the Primavera Show.
Janita Salomé's new album integrates themes that make history in contemporary Portuguese music, including the recreation of traditional songs and the awakening to other universes, without cutting into the Mediterranean matrix that permeates all of her work.
Tavira, a community representing the Mediterranean Diet as UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, celebrates tradition once again through the holding of the III Spring Exhibition – Sweets and Crafts, from April 24th to 26th, in downtown (Rua do Cais , Jardim do Bandstand and Praça da República).
Traditional products and handicrafts from the municipality and the Serra do Caldeirão region are once again highlighted. Around 55 stands and 100 exhibitors are present at this event, combining ancestral knowledge with innovation and design.
Basketry and contract work, knits and lace, ceramics and tiles, trapology and weaving, handcrafted jewelery and costume jewelry, as well as decorative candles and soaps can be purchased at this exhibition.
All these products are joined by brandies, liqueurs, regional sweets, jams and dried fruits, bread and back, honey and its derivatives, aromatic and medicinal herbs, olive oil and wine, in a panoply of flavors and smells that reflect our essence and authenticity.
These are associated with musical entertainment, which includes local projects and others from other parts of the country, hence the need for two stages in Jardim do Coreto and Praça da República.
The Mostra's program is diversified and, this year, it also includes circus shows with puppets made for families. On the 25th, at 16:00 pm, interested parties will be able to watch the play “O Circo das Marionetas” and, on the 26th, at 11:00 am, the “Fios de Música”.
