Faro will have, for the first time, an Art Fair, where it will be possible to buy or exchange artistic pieces.
The event of the cultural association Policromia is launched on May 2, at 9 am, on the terrace of the Municipal Market, where the community is headquartered, and is intended to have a monthly frequency, always on the first Saturday of each month.
«Artists from the most varied fields will be able to exhibit their works and talents, outside the conventional artistic and university context», summarizes Policromia, an association created by young Algarve artists, including El Menau. And, as the objective is “to stimulate the sharing and dissemination of works of art, as well as the interaction between artists and the community”, all the works will have symbolic prices, “suitable for different portfolios”.
Any artist can participate, as long as they have a sales stand for the exhibition of their work and register by filling in an application form. If, on the one hand, it will feature works by renowned and internationally renowned artists, on the other hand, it will also be there and works by artists who are beginning to emerge in the artistic world," says the association.
Despite aiming for the Art Fair to be held, desirably, on the first Saturday of each month, Policromia warns that this may not always be the case. “The weather will be, perhaps, the only condition that prevents this Fair from being held according to normal criteria, since it is outdoors”, he explained.
