Swimmers Catarina and Tomás Sequeira, athletes from CF Os Armacenenses, a club from the municipality of Silves, obtained good technical and tactical results in the National Championship for juniors, juniors, seniors and absolutes, in the swimming modality.
Catarina Sequeira was victorious national junior champion in the 100m breaststroke and was ranked 3rd in the absolute. In the 50m breaststroke, it won in the juniors and was ranked 3rd in the absolute category, while in the 200m breaststroke it was 9th in the final A and 4th in junior.
The CF Os Armacenenses swimmer's mark is currently the 35th best in Europe (this season) and the 8th best ever in Portugal.
According to Analgarve – Algarve Swimming Association, the four Algarve athletes in the competition, including Catarina Sequeira, gave «good indications for the very near future and with the impression that they want to repeat these trips to the podium» .
Tomás Sequeira, with a record of 1.04.25” (personal record) in the 100m backstroke, got 20th place in junior and 60th in absolute.
