For the first time, children and young people in Portimão will be able to learn more about the world of work at the “Oficina das Profissões”, which takes place on the 17th and 18th of April, organized by the group. BNI South.
The event, which has the support of the City Council of Portimão, takes place, on both days, between 10:00 and 18:00 at Portimão Arena – Fairs and Exhibitions Park.
It is, at the same time, a charity action that aims to raise food, toys and basic hygiene products for disadvantaged children, and contribute to the education and awakening of children and young people (between 3 and 15 years old) to learning in the adult business world.
The "Oficina das Profissões" aims to instill entrepreneurs in the youngest and demonstrate how to work as a team, highlighting the importance of creating synergies between the various areas/professions, thus enabling direct contact with entrepreneurs in the Algarve region, who, through games, will build scenarios of their own business activities.
Ana Figueiredo, Councilor for Education at the Portimão Chamber, told the Sul Informação that this stability initiative is “arousing a lot of interest among the county's public and private schools”, which were all invited.
“Through this Workshop of Professions, children and young people will be able to learn what it is to be a builder, dentist, hairdresser, among many other activities,” explained the councilor.
Entrance to the Oficina das Profissões is free, and those visiting the event are encouraged to bring clothes, food or toys that they wish to offer.
April 17th is dedicated to kindergartens, crèches and schools wishing to visit the event, and those interested should contact the organization through 965 078 025.
April 18th is open to the general public.
