The Lagoa Volunteer Firefighters will receive €247.500 from the City Council in 2015, according to a financial cooperation protocol that will be signed between the two parties. The purchase of an ambulance to transport patients and the purchase of a large-capacity tank vehicle are some of the investments supported by the municipality.

For the acquisition of the ambulance, the Lagoa Council will finance €35 and €20 for the tank vehicle.

Most of the approved budget (110 thousand euros) will be to maintain a first intervention group in the municipality.

The Lagoon local authority has also planned to allocate funds for the maintenance of the Permanent Commander for Operations (10 thousand euros), for the payment of vehicle insurance policies (10 thousand euros), for the payment of personal accident insurance for firefighters ( 2500 euros), for expenses related to the reinforcement and prevention of major events (6 euros), for pre-hospital emergency consumables (8 euros), for fuel (10 euros), for the purchase of protective equipment and uniforms (6 thousand euros) and for vehicle repairs (30 thousand euros).

The authority said that the protocol will be revised in 2016, after the approval of the Budget and Major Options of the Plan for the Municipality of Lagoa, upon evaluation of the application of funds.
