In an event notable for the international calendar, the foreign runners were the strongest in the elite category, achieving eight of the top ten places.

Faustin Figaret stood out, with a record of 2m31,136s. Madeiran Emanuel Pombo (Liberty Seguros/CicloMadeira) took second place, at 1,453s. The third place was the Spaniard Javier Villacieros (Guijarro Vllacieros), at 3,636s.

Among the female elite, Filipa Peres (Penacova DH/UD Lorvanense) defeated the competition, with 3m02,399s.

Second place was the British Monet Adams (Wideopen Mag/Deity), at 10,079s. The third was the Estonian Maaris Meier (Maiatos/Reabnorte), at 23,439s.

The German Silas Grandy (MCF/Xdream/Municipality of S. Brás) won in the junior category, Tiago Ladeira (People's House of Abrunheira) was the best cadet, Márcio Ferreira (CD Ribeirense/Patrovitrans) stood out among the masters 30 , Miguel Santos (MCF/Xdream/Municipality of S. Brás) beat the remaining masters 40 and José Salgueiro (MCF/Xdream/Municipality of S. Brás) surpassed his rivals in masters 50.

The DHI Portuguese Cup continues next Sunday, with the second stage of the trophy, which will take place in Pampilhosa da Serra.
