The Children's and Youth Arts Festival in Albufeira came to an end last Saturday. In the final, where 19 competitors participated, six took home prizes.
On the children's side, FUETE – Albufeira Dance Academy was the big winner. The group from Albufeira performed in the final with the dance “Palhaços de Sol”, convincing the judges.
In the youth area, the first place went to the Dance Company “Idade do Ouro”, from Vila Real de Santo António, which set the auditorium on fire with the choreography “A Sós”.
In the children's aspect, the second and third places went, respectively, to the Escola de Dança de Lagos, with the dance “Zombies” and Annael Natzkaya, from Faro, who performed a theme on his Violin.
In the group between the ages of 12 and 17, Jéssica Guerreiro, from Albufeira, won second place in the Accordion, and FUETE – Academia de Dança de Albufeira came in third with the choreography “Jesus”.
132 children and young people passed on the stage who presented their performances in various modalities to the public.
In this edition, the prizes were €500, €300 and €200 for the top three places in each tier. The Children's and Youth Arts Festival is organized by the Municipality of Albufeira.
