Em Faro, the initiative will take place at the Municipal Market. In Tavira, there will be an eclipse observation post at the Dom Manuel I Basic School. the Lagos CCV will promote an eclipse observation activity, accompanied by coffee and cakes, opening doors at 8 am on Friday.

In the case of Tavira, reveals the local CCV, the eclipse will be partial and will cover about 63 percent of the Sun's area. The initiative takes place between 8:30 am and 10 am, with the peak of the eclipse happening at 8:59 am.

A little further to the West, in Faro, the level of concealment will be slightly higher, at around 64 percent. Here, the free action takes place in the square in front of the Municipal Market of Faro, between 8 am and 10 am and is dependent on favorable weather conditions.

These initiatives by the Algarve CCVs aim to provide the population with safe observation of the Friday solar eclipse. At the beginning of the week, the Directorate-General for Education, in partnership with the Astronomical Observatory of Lisbon and with the collaboration of the Directorate-General for Health, had already sent detailed information about the eclipse of the sun to schools across the countrys.
