The Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR), which manages this OP, announced the launch of two competitions in the field of competitiveness and internationalization of companies, encouraging the Algarve's business sector to prepare applications.

The competitions, whose notices were launched last Friday, are part of the incentive systems for «Productive Innovation» and «Qualified and Creative Entrepreneurship».

"These competitions are aimed at projects that contribute to increasing business investment in innovative activities, strengthening the business capacity of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) for the development of goods and services and for qualified and creative entrepreneurship." according to the CCDR of the Algarve.

The competition launched in the area of ​​"Productive Innovation" proposes to financially support projects that "contribute to increasing business investment in innovative activities, strengthening the business capacity of SMEs for the development of goods and services, promoting increased production tradable and internationalizable'.

Applications must also contemplate "the change in the productive profile of the economic fabric through the development of innovative solutions based on the results of R&D (research and technological development) and on the integration and convergence of new technologies and knowledge, and also for the creation of qualified employment" .

As for the support line open in the Qualified and Creative Entrepreneurship incentive system, it aims to «contribute to the promotion of the entrepreneurial spirit, namely facilitating the support for the economic exploration of new ideas and encouraging the creation of new companies». «This Notice also emphasizes the alignment with the thematic priorities of the Regional Strategy for Smart Specialization (RIS3)», added the CCDR of Algarve.
