According to the document to be signed, the Municipality of Lagos will hand over, free of charge, to Clube Artístico Lacobrigense, that building, for a period of 20 years, renewable for an equal period. The property is delivered exclusively (with no possibility of transfer to third parties), to support the activities carried out by the Club.

The Clube Artístico Lacobrigense may carry out any works deemed necessary for the pursuit of its purposes, after prior notice and approval by the Municipality of Lagos.

artists lakesThe Club is obliged to bear all charges for the property, as well as expenses related to its operation and/or conservation, in particular the supply of electricity, water supply and telephone, and for this purpose must enter into the necessary legal contracts with the entities competent private individuals.

The Protocol was drafted taking into account some assumptions, namely the fact that the property is leased to Clube Artístico Lacobrigense under a "verbal lease agreement", which will have entered into force on August 24, 1872 (date of foundation of the club).

In addition, stresses the local authority, the protocol took into account the fact that the Clube Artístico Lacobrigense is «a public utility community already with 137 years of activity, promoting cultural and recreational initiatives in the municipality since then and, finally, the competence of the city ​​councils to support activities of a social, cultural, educational and recreational nature».
