PSPThe PSP made six arrests this morning and yesterday, in different operations, carried out in Faro and Portimão. Most are linked to driving under the influence of alcohol, but two men were also arrested for drug trafficking and theft, respectively.

In Portimão, during the early hours of the morning, a police officer who was off duty surprised a 24-year-old man in flagrante delicto, when he robbed a food and beverage establishment located in the fairs and exhibitions park in that city. The man had with him the proceeds of the robbery, a 10-litre box of wine, and he broke a glass to enter the establishment, a loss valued at 150 euros.

Also in Portimão, a 22-year-old man was arrested this Thursday for drug possession and trafficking. With him, he had 48 individual doses of hashish, having been discovered another 55 doses and a wallet to keep the drug in a search that was, meanwhile, made to his house.

Em Faro, the arrests were related to driving under the influence of alcohol. At dawn today, the PSP detained three people for driving cars while intoxicated, namely a 25-year-old man with a BAC of 2,19 grams per liter and two women, aged 36 and 34, with BAC of 1,35 and 1,54 g/l, respectively.

The day before, a 62-year-old man driving a moped had been arrested for the same crime. The detainee had a BAC of 2,30 g/l.
