The intervention carried out at the level of the pavement and fence (provisional) of the Polisportivo de Tunes will be received this Thursday, 22 January, following the signing of the patronage agreement established between the Municipality of Silves and the Jerónimo Martins group.
This intervention, which corresponded to a private investment supported by that group of 70.000 euros, represented the first step of a project that includes the construction of the playground that will integrate the multi-sport, located in Urbanização Lagarça, and which will benefit from the regulatory dimensions for the practice of futsal, handball, volleyball and tennis.
"Given the hefty investment that a work of this nature entails for the municipality, in the order of several hundred thousand euros", the Municipality of Silves announced that it will soon move forward with the alteration of the technical execution project, in the sense of phasing the integral construction of the Multisport.
It is expected that during the course of this year, a tender will be launched for the execution of the 2nd phase of the contract, which includes the construction of changing rooms and changing rooms, lighting of the enclosure and fence (definitive), in an estimated investment of 150.000 euros.
The construction of the bench on the north side and other works will be carried out at a later stage.
