Cristina Carvalho Veiga-Pires, professor at the University of Algarve, is the new executive director of the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve, located in Faro. The swearing-in of the new management of what is the oldest of the three Ciência Viva Centers in the Algarve took place on 9 December.
The newly elected Board of Directors of CCVAlg is also chaired by Paulo Santos (Alderman of the Chamber of Faro) and as member José Fernando Morais Lopes Mariano, also a professor at the University of Algarve.
The swearing-in took place at the CCVAlg premises, next to the Dock of Faro, with the presence of José Carlos Rolo (Camera de Albufeira), who is now chairman of the Board of the General Assembly, and Sílvia Barros Pereira (Camera de Albufeira) Faro), secretary of the Board of the General Meeting.
