1st Forum for Sustainable Development of the Municipality of Lagoa scheduled for Saturday

The “1st Forum for Sustainable Development in the Municipality of Lagoa” will take place on Saturday, November 8th, at CEFLA, in Lagoa, organized by the City Council.

The Forum's main challenge, as revealed by the local authority in a press release, is «to implement a powerful instrument that will strategically prepare the future development of the municipality towards sustainability, growth of the local economy, territorial and social cohesion, and the valorization of the natural and cultural heritage, intending, at the same time, to soberly inform the way forward with the revision of the municipality's PDM».

However, he adds, "in order to define the best strategy and consciously and responsibly pursue the objective of well-being and development, it is essential that the Chamber has the support of everyone, cultivating participation and an ethics of shared responsibility for the common good as, moreover, has already been proven by the interest shown by the populations in the discussion of the Participatory Budget».

After all, it is about «taking the citizens who live in the municipality of Lagoa to feel and know the territory where they were born or where they work, telling them how they should move towards the modernization and economic and social support of their land, so they do not they may be oblivious to the process, as they are its essence».

In essence, it is a dynamic work forum, moderated by the Chamber, open to invited representatives of the community and where the aim is to «listen to the sensitivities, aspirations, aspirations and needs of the citizens of Lagoa, launching it in a committed way and in partnership , the dynamics of a healthy and transparent support, with more balanced decisions and much more in line with what the Lagoon community thinks and wants”, concludes the municipality.
