V Public Security Conference PSPThe District Command of Faro The PSP will promote the 5th edition of its «Public Security Days», on the 24th of October, from 9 am, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve. This year, the theme is «Competitiveness in the hotel industry: relevance of the safety and security components».

This event takes place within the scope of the «Algarve – safe destination» project, which aims to make the Algarve the safest tourist destination in Europe. The project was officially launched in May 2013, and its main partners are the Algarve Tourism Region and the University of Algarve.

The conference will feature a presentation by the minister of Internal Administration Miguel Macedo, in addition to other individuals linked to issues of security, hotels and tourism.

“We intend that they be days full of exchange of ideas and experiences that can help to improve the feeling of security and support provided to tourists who visit us”, summarized the Algarve PSP, in a press release.
