A 36-year-old man suspected of having raped a 64-year-old woman in the municipality of Loulé was detained by the Southern Directorate of the Judiciary Police.
The crime took place in August, at night. According to the PJ, the now detainee tied the woman up, "having led her to a field and, under threat of a bladed weapon", forced her to "have sexual relations with him".
The man is, at this moment, being subjected to the first judicial interrogation, "to apply the measures of coercion deemed convenient".
