A man was arrested in Paderne, in the municipality of Albufeira, for the crime of having a prohibited weapon. In addition to many weapons, thousands of individual doses of hashish and marijuana were seized in a search of the suspect's house in Ferreiras.
A GNR patrol suspected the behavior of the occupants of a vehicle circulating near the village of Paderne and realized that the man who was now detained had thrown an object over the window, which turned out to be a firearm.
This was followed by a house search of the suspect's residence, where "10314 individual doses of hashish and 70 of marijuana, which was hidden in various rooms of the house" were seized.
Several weapons were also found, namely: “A “Galil” automatic rifle with silencer; two revolvers; a carbine; four pistols of various calibers; an airsoft gun; a paintball gun; two compressed air rifles; a can of pepper spray; a sword; a dagger; five hundred and sixty-one .22 caliber rounds; Fifty-five 12-gauge cartridges; four zagalote cartridges; and various ammunition of other calibers».
«Among the objects seized in the residence there are also a precision scale, three mountain caps, two pairs of gloves, two binoculars, a crowbar, a cleaver and an axe, several rolls of tape and clamps, a laptop, a video game console and a LED television, among others», revealed the Territorial Command of Faro of the GNR, in a statement.
The detainee, with a criminal record, is currently being presented to the Judicial Court of the District of Albufeira to apply the coercive measures considered appropriate.
