???????????????????????????????The Tavira Municipal Museum's summer vacation program closes with two actions dedicated to the youngest and families, one about the city's legends, on September 2nd, and another that reveals the vast heritage of Tavira, on September 3rd. September.

On September 2, at 10 am, the workshop «Legends of the city of Tavira» will present the fantastic stories that are part of the collective memory of the people of Tavira. «Do you know legends about the city? Who wants to count one? Come hear or even tell the legends that everyone knows. In the end, we will imagine how the princes and princesses of these fanciful narratives transmitted by oral tradition were like», challenges the Câmara de Tavira, in a press release.

The initiative comes within the scope of the exhibition “Memory and Future – Heritage, Collections and the Construction of a Museum for Tavira”, on display at Palácio da Galeria and is aimed at families with children between 6 and 12 years old.

On the 3rd, the discovery/peddy paper game «Heritage Tours» will be promoted, between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, aimed at families or young people from 12 years of age. Whoever wants to participate, must form teams between two and four elements.

This activity is part of the project “Holidays with Archeology 2014” and will be guided by technicians from the Archeology Office of the Municipal Museum of Tavira. The meeting point is Praça da República, in Baixa de Tavira.

The main objective of the «Payments for Heritage» is to publicize the archaeological activity and bring the public closer to the city's historical heritage. «The realization of this pedestrian orienteering route allows the teams to get to know our heritage in a fun way», illustrated the municipality.

Registration for the activities is free, but mandatory, and there is a minimum number of six participants per action, in order for them to take place.
