The initiative will be carried out by a team from the Portuguese Navy Naval Research Center (CINAV), led by commander Augusto Salgado and historian Jorge Russo.

The protocol defines the terms of the support granted by the municipality, in the amount of 15 thousand euros.

Then, there will be a lecture by the two researchers on this naval archeology project off Sagres.

The Vila do Bispo Council also emphasizes the support to be provided by some hotel units in Sagres to this project, namely Aparthotel Don Tenório, Aparthotel Navigator, Martinhal Resort and Pousada do Infante, as well as the restaurants Retiro do Pescador, Gigi, Oliveirinha , Adega dos Arcos, Pescador, A Grelha, Vigia, Dromedário/Bossa Nova and A Sagres, to the elements of the diving team and to this project of the Portuguese Navy.
