The cleaning of Ribeira de Odeleite was completed this Tuesday and the population can already enjoy the place once again, «a leisure area par excellence at this time of year».
The cleaning work at the most critical points of the Ribeira de Odeleite was completed with the discharge of the dam, “which made it possible to desilt the stream, whose obstruction to the flow of water compromised its quality”, according to the Chamber of Castro Marim.
The cleaning of this stream was financed by the Chamber of Castro Marim, which agreed with the Administration of the Hydrographic Region of the Algarve, to proceed with the necessary funds, provided that that entity carried out the necessary technical monitoring, in a meeting in which these two entities and the Odeleite Parish Council.
