guadiana bridgeIn September, Eurocidade do Guadiana launches an innovative international road transport service that will ensure connections between the municipalities of Ayamonte, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António.

This valence will bring the populations of the three border locations closer together, providing a new form of mobility that has not existed until now.

The line will allow people on both sides of the border to quickly cross the Guadiana. On the other hand, it responds to the needs of inter-municipal mobility, creating new regular careers with the possibility of extension to Portugal and Spain.

In addition to the economic advantages, the service responds to the tourist challenges of the three municipalities, which now have an international short-distance road transport line with multiple stops at various points of interest.

In Spain, the routes will cover the towns of Isla Canela, Punta del Moral and Ayamonte. In Portugal, the line will serve the localities of Monte Francisco, Castro Marim, Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Monte Gordo, Height, Manta Rota and Cacela.

In the short term, the objective is to provide this transport service with new international networks that will include connections to Faro, Huelva, Seville, Malaga, Algeciras or Morocco.
