The Municipal Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of Albufeira will resume, in July and August, the awareness campaign “Protect yourself from the danger of the cliffs – Your safety comes first!”
The initiative, which is aimed at all vacationers and beachgoers
The municipality of Albufeira will take place during these two summer months, with the distribution of bilingual information leaflets (Portuguese and English) warning about the main risks, the best way to prevent them and promoting the awareness of bathers to the importance of respecting the existing signs on the beaches.
This year, in addition to the distribution of flyers, tents will be placed on some beaches to allow activities with the youngest, duly protected from the sun's rays.
The campaign starts next Friday, July 4th, at Praia dos Pescadores, with the following schedule: 9:30 am – flyer distribution; 10:00 am – official opening of the Campaign with the presence of the main entities involved in the project; 10:15 am – gym class; 10:45 – information about the danger of the cliffs.
The event has a partnership with the Maritime Authority, Maritime Police and the Association of Lifeguard Swimmers of Albufeira (ANSA).
