Summer holidays are coming, but that doesn't mean that the youngest have to stop learning, in this case, in a fun way. The Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos has prepared a set of 80 scientific activities to boost children's free time during the summer season.
From the 23rd of June to the 4th of July, there will be activities in the morning and in the afternoon, «that promise to arouse curiosity, fun and increase knowledge in areas as diverse as astronomy, geology, mathematics, biology, among many others».
In the first week, from 23rd to 27th June, the general themes of the activities are: «CCVL 4 You»; «Mystery of Things»; «In the Plant World»; «Moving images; and "turns in the kitchen".
Between June 30th and July 4th”, the offer for the little ones will revolve around the themes: “Walking around with Energy”; «Bending angles» (origamis); "The fishes"; "Materials with Superpowers" (nanotechnology); and «Light, Camera and Summer».
Participants can bring lunch with them, have lunch in the center and stay there from 10 am to 17 pm. The morning activities take place between 10 am and 12:30 pm and in the afternoon, between 14:30 pm and 17 pm. Each workshop has a maximum number of 10 participants. In terms of prices, a workshop costs 5 euros, five activities cost 20 euros, 10 workshops cost 35 euros and 16 workshops cost 48 euros. Those who choose the daily modality, pay 12 euros for one day, 45 euros for 4 four and 55 euros for five days. There is a 15 percent discount for siblings.
