The new dance world champions are about to be discovered, in an event that for a week will bring together in the Algarve about three thousand children and young people participating in the finals of the Dance World Cup 2014.

The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, the 29th, at the Bela Vista stadium, in Lagoa, and the entire competition will take place at the Arade Congress Center, in that Algarve municipality. The event lasts until July 5th, to close with a shine on a gala night with the exhibition of the winners of the Junior and Open sections.

This year's edition of Dance World Cup it moved a total of 18 competitors from 38 countries, making this the largest global competition of all dance genres for children and young people aged four to 25 years.

From Australia to India and China, passing through America, Africa and Europe, the national winners won a place in the final of the Algarve, which will now select the best dancers in the world.

«It is an honor for the Tourism Region to welcome young people participating in the Dance World Cup 2014 and their families, especially those visiting the Algarve for the first time», declares the organisation's president.

Desidério Silva hopes to positively surprise the delegation «with the diversity of beaches spread over 200 kilometers of coastline, with the gastronomy, the churches and castles, the green scenery of nature, the Vicentina coast or the Ria Formosa», he concludes.

The Dance World Cup 2014 includes the genres "Ballet and Demi-Character" (classic ballet and demi-charactère), "Fusion Ballet" (fusion ballet), "Hip Hop and Street Dance", "Jazz and Showdance", "Modern and Contemporary" (modern and contemporary dance), "National and Folklore Dance" (national dances and folklore), "Song and Dance" (musicals) and "Tap Dance" (tap dance).

Tickets can be purchased at the Centro de Congressos do Arade, during the competition, with prices starting at five and 10 euros for the daily ticket for children and adults, respectively.
