The PS was the party with the most votes in today's European Elections, in São Brás de Alportel, a municipality where it achieved one of the few victories, in the Algarve, in the 2009 European elections. if, for more than ten percent, while five years ago the difference for the PSD was just over a percentage point.

In this socialist baton from the Algarve, the combined votes of the PSD and CDS-PP stood at 23,41 percent, against the PS's 33,56. In 2009, the Socialists had won with 28,62% of the vote, with the PSD securing 27,54% and the CDS 7,46%.

The CDU, the third most voted force, secured 10,74 percent of the vote (2 pp more than in 2009). As at the national level, the MPT was the fourth most voted force, with 7,28 percent of the vote, followed by the BE, which rose 5,86 percentage points (Five years ago, it got 12,76%).

In São Brás de Alportel, abstention was 69,53%.
