The “Algarve Chefs Week” is back for the 4th edition of a unique gastronomic week, from the 23rd to the 30th of May. This initiative brings together eight Executive Chefs from top restaurants in the best Algarve hotels for an exclusive event, with menus inspired by the basic delicacies of the cuisine of the Algarve countryside.

For a week, the Chefs from eight luxury hotels in the Algarve will be responsible for preparing unprecedented menus, based on the most traditional and rustic flavors of the Algarve Barrocal, prepared with sublime mastery and originality.

The 4th edition of the “Algarve Chefs Week” will take a trip to the roots of traditional Algarve cuisine, with dishes prepared by Chef Andrew McGie, from Restaurante Louro, Hotel Conrad Algarve, Chef Miguel Lourenço, Restaurant The Olive Tree, Hotel Vale d 'Oliveiras, Chef André Simões, Cilantro Restaurant, Hilton Vilamoura, Chef Jan Stechemesser, À Terra Restaurant, Praia Verde Boutique Hotel, Chef Osvalde Silva, O Pescador Restaurant, Sheraton Algarve Hotel, Chef José Leitão, Moonlight Restaurant, Salgados Grande Hotel, Chef Ricardo Ferreira, Pepper´s Steakhouse Restaurant, Hotel Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, and also Chef Bruno Rocha, EMO Restaurant, at Hotel Tivoli Victoria.

The official launch of the “Algarve Chefs Week” will take place on May 22, Thursday, from 15 pm to 00 pm, in the arrivals area of ​​the International Airport of Faro, where the eight Executive Chefs will give to taste some of their creations prepared especially for this gastronomic week.

The menus of the “Algarve Chefs Week 2014” will be available from May 23 to 30, only for dinner, from 19:30 pm to 22:30 pm, in selected hotels' restaurants, at a price of 30 euros per person, drinks not included.

For true lovers of the Algarve cuisine, this edition will also have a passport for access to the event's eight restaurants.

Visitors who complete their gastronomic trip at three of the participating restaurants will be eligible for a weekend draw at one of the host hotels of the “Algarve Chefs Week”.

As in the last edition, “Algarve Chefs Week 2014” once again supports CASA, the Homeless Support Center, with 1 euro of the total value of each meal to be donated to this institution. This year, throughout the event, four places will be made available in each of the restaurants for users of this non-profit association.

Aimed not only at the guests of the hotels involved, but also at all food lovers, the “Algarve Chefs Week” has allowed, over four editions, to promote the best of the Algarve, making known the region's traditional products.

This edition has the support of ERTA (Regional Tourism Authority of the Algarve), ANA Aeroportos and Quinta do Barranco Longo.
