Estradas de Portugal is carrying out inspections of the works of art on the EN125, in the section between Olhão and Altura.
These inspections aim to carry out a survey of conservation conditions and ascertain any intervention needs.
In the section of the EN125 between Olhão and Altura, 19 works of art are identified (bridges, viaducts, hydraulic passages, pedestrian crossings, etc.).
EP stresses that carrying out this survey will allow it to «have a thorough knowledge of the state of conservation of the structures». This knowledge guarantees the «carrying out of the necessary interventions and their periodization based on strict technical criteria».
As part of the renegotiation of the EN125 requalification works, the section of this road between Olhão and Vila Real de Santo António is no longer part of the Algarve Coast Routes concession and is once again under the jurisdiction of Estradas de Portugal.
As revealed by the company on the 21st, «the requalification of the EN125 between Olhão and Vila Real de Santo António will also be considered by EP as part of its Proximity Plan».
