The II Education and Training Forum kicked off this Thursday, Espaço Multiusos de Albufeira. The opening session was attended by the Municipal Executive, led by President Carlos Silva e Sousa, the regional director of the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP), Carlos Baía, the regional delegate for Education of the General Directorate of School Establishments, Alberto Almeida, and other partners and entities.
After a visit to the 37 stands, Carlos Silva e Sousa confessed that he was happy to see the high attendance at the event, which denotes “the usefulness and importance that the event has for schools and students, who find here a wide range of options to decide on your academic and professional future”.
Until next Saturday, the 10th, the Espaço Multiusos de Albufeira will continue with its doors open to welcome all those interested in learning about the various options for vocational training and higher education offered by the various public and private education entities, polytechnics and universities represented in National level.
In addition to the Conferences and Workshops, the event will feature a parallel entertainment program during opening hours. This includes sporting activities, namely diving and shooting, cultural initiatives – theater, music, video and photography – traditional games, electronics, aesthetics and face painting.
Tomorrow, Friday, the visit of the Secretary of State for Basic and Secondary Education, João Grancho, is expected at this event that is one of the most important initiatives carried out in the south of the country, in the area of ​​education and professional training, constituting a national reference for students in the Algarve (3rd cycle, secondary and professional). The government official will be received at the Paços do Concelho by the president of the Municipality, at 14:30 pm, from where they will continue to visit the OPTO.eu Forum.
