The works promoted by Polis Litoral Sudoeste to enhance the bathing spaces of Amoreira and Vale Figueiras, in Aljezur, in the amount of 365.953 and 179.831 euros, respectively, are already in the conclusion phase, announced today the Municipality of Aljezur.
The project for Praia da Arrifana, worth close to 1,4 million euros, is also already under construction. The intervention provides for the planning of parking accessibility, stabilization of the cliffs and planning of the built core and respective infrastructure. This project will be interrupted in mid-June and will resume at the end of September, so as not to affect the bathing season.
The local authority recalls that one of the phases of this project, the requalification and enhancement of the Arrifana Fortress and surrounding area, which was the first work of Polis Litoral Sudoeste in the territory, has been completed since the end of 2011.
The contract for Amoreira Norte/Monte Clérigo is also progressing, with the “construction” of parking lots on Monte Clérigo beach.
With a total value of one million euros, this project will also be interrupted during the bathing season and will be resumed and completed in September.
The works at Portinho do Forno, in the amount of 659.039 euros, will take place during 2015, while the redevelopment of Praia de Odeceixe, in the amount of 331.004 euros, should start next September.
However, the contracts related to actions for the protection and recovery of dune systems and cliffs, at the beaches of Samouqueira, Barradinha, Carriagem and Vale dos Homens, parish of Rogil, have already been consigned and total 674 euros.
The cycle paths/ecoways connecting Aljezur to Amoreira, Arrifana and Monte Clérigo beaches, as well as the one connecting Odeceixe to the respective beach, are at the conclusion of the project.
Still in the final stage of the project, there is the action related to the interpretation and discovery of Pontal da Carrapateira.
«The share capital of the Municipality of Aljezur (1,6 million euros) will allow an IDC (Direct Investment in the Municipality), once all the actions are concluded, of around 6,9 million euros", he stresses, in conclusion, the autarchy.
