The Cerro do Botelho track will once again put the best national and international Downhill riders to the test in the 2nd stage of the Portugal Downhill Cup, taking place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of April, in São Brás de Alportel.

A demanding route, with steep descents, with a high level of difficulty but with the offer of exceptional jumps, will delight the approximately 200 athletes of the sport who will pass through the São Brasense municipality in the coming days.

The 2nd stage starts this Friday, the 4th, with free practice between 14:00 pm and 18:00 pm and continues on Saturday, with free practice in the morning, between 9:00 am and 13:00 pm, and from 17:00 pm to 18:00 pm. Block training takes place on Saturday, between 14 pm and 00 pm and the last training sessions for track recognition will take place on Sunday morning, the 17th, between 00:6 am and 8 am.

Adrenaline and strong emotions will mark the day of competition, which starts at 10:30 am with the qualifying heat. The decisive moment will be in the final heat, at 14:00, during which the athletes will give their best and compete for a place on the podium.

At the awards ceremony, after the last leg, the winners by category, in the different levels, as well as the winning teams will be unveiled.

The night of Friday, the 4th, welcomes another outstanding moment with the completion of the Pumptrack Challenge, a challenge launched by the organization, to take place on the PumpTrack Track of São Brás de Alportel, located next to the Sports Park and Leisure.

Those interested in participating in the Pumptrack Challenge must register with the X Dream Blásius Association, through the email: [email protected], which must include the athlete's identification and the category in which he/she competes.
The 2nd stage of the Portugal Cup in Downhill is organized by the Portuguese Cycling Federation and International Cycling Union together with the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel and the X Dream Blásius Association, and has the collaboration of the Humanitarian Association of Voluntary Firemen São Brás de Alportel and the National Republican Guard.
