The Festa dos Folares returns to liven up the village of Querença, in the interior of the municipality of Loulé, on the 26th and 27th of April. This traditional celebration is held in honor of Nossa Senhora da Graça and will coincide with the realization of yet another Mercadinho de Querença, where this typical Easter cake will be the central element.
The party starts on Saturday, April 26, with a ball at the Casa do Povo in Querença, animated by the accordionist José Manuel Passadinhas.
On Sunday, the "Festa dos Folares" will take place. At 15 pm, there is the Eucharist and the procession with an image of Our Lady of Grace. This is followed by the auction of gifts and cakes, one of the highlights of the Festival.
Between 11 am and 19 pm it will be possible to taste this Easter delicacy at Largo da Igreja de Querença. In this space, an exhibition and sale of handicrafts and local products will also be open to the public.
On this day, the Maria Odete Fernandes Photography Exhibition will also be inaugurated, which will be on display at the Água Museological Pole. This show runs until May 29 and can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 18 pm.
The Festa dos Folares is an initiative of the Parish Festival and Union of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim, which has the support of the Loulé City Council and the Casa do Povo of Querença.
