PSP and Spanish National Police Corps advise young people at International Sports Meeting

The District Command of Faro of the PSP, together with the Spanish National Police Corps, will this afternoon carry out, in Vila Real de Santo António, an "operation with a proactive aspect in relation to the safety of young people", aimed at thousands of young people who travel to the International Sports Meeting.

This mega-event that brings together sport, entertainment and experiences takes place in Monte Gordo, from the 16th to the 19th of April.

For four days, the Bay of Monte Gordo prepares to host more than 40 sports, 12 beach tournaments, 33 hours of fitness, 52 workshops and more than 30 hours of music.

In all, more than 4000 people are expected to attend an event that brings together young people of various nationalities and also includes live music shows, dj performances, nautical activities and masterclasses.

The PSP operation relies, according to the Portuguese police, "with the collaboration of several entities, which we invited, among them the Spanish National Police Corps, because a large number of the young participants are of Spanish nationality".
