The 7th Via Algarviana crossing continued this Sunday, April 6, with a 30 km route between Vila do Bispo and Bensafrim. Here is the chronicle of this second day:

OK that today is World Physical Activity Day, but needless to exaggerate! It was 30 kilometers of a lot of activity!

Today there will be many people dreaming of the noise of their boots in the gravel... The first part was by the sea, near Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, then headed north, passing through pine trees and wind farms.

So far there have been – if I'm not mistaken – four or five bee stings, assisted by the “emergency room” of the organization, which is already used to these small accidents.

Technical stop in Barão de S. João. Today the group was joined by three kids, the youngest of which was 7 years old, who made a point of covering most of the day. First the Via Algarviana, they said, then the surf!

At the end of the day, the blisters on the walkers' feet gave the walkers a lot of trouble. female doctor Anabela, who watched everyone.

This Sunday, after the 30 km stretch, the night will be spent in the hall and stage of the Sport Star of Bensafrim.

When we arrived at this place, at the café, a local incredulously asked: "Where do you come from?" “From Vila do Bispo”, I reply. The man opens his mouth in astonishment: «On foot? For what? They told me that but I didn't even believe it…» Well…believe it!

And this Monday it's another 30 km, up the mountain, to Marmelete. Oops! Come on!
