the crossing “Portugal from Les to Less Against Cancer”, a challenge created by cyclist Filipe Gaivão to travel across the country, for eight days, starts on Saturday, April 26, in Caminha and ends on May 3 in Vila Real de Santo António.

This crossing is supported by the Portuguese League Against Cancer (LPCC). The objective of this adventure is to take the message of the LPCC from the north to the south of the country, alerting and making people aware of the problem of cancer.

Along the way, the group of cyclists – Filipe Gaivão, Carlos Silva and Miguel Vilar – will have the support of a motorhome, which will help spread the message of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, explaining its mission: supporting the cancer patient and family, health promotion, cancer prevention and encouragement of training and research in oncology.

On the crossing, which ends in Vila Real de Santo António, on May 3, the cyclists and volunteers involved will also promote the “7 warning signs against cancer”, drawing the attention of the population and support groups that await them. in each city for the most common symptoms.

Scheduled to start on the 26th of April, in Caminha, Filipe Gaivão, Carlos Silva and Miguel Vilar will travel around 820 kilometers on bicycle and pass through:
