On Saturday, April 5th, the Vila do Bispo Interpretation Center hosts the conference “Archives and Cultural Diffusion: good practices”. The initiative is part of the “Entre Arquivos” project, and intends to bring to the Algarve, by the end of the year, several specialists in the field of archiving.
The conference, which will have as speaker Marta Nogueira, will be based on research carried out within the scope of the master's thesis, “Cultural diffusion in the Portuguese National Archives and District Archives” (Universidade de Évora, 2012), where a reflection on the theoretical framework of cultural activities and products of the Archives initiative, as well as some reflections and good practices associated with its conception and production.
Marta Nogueira has a degree in History (1999) with a Specialization Course in Documentary Sciences in the Archive variants (2001) and Documentation and Library (2004) by the University of Lisbon, with a postgraduate degree in Image and Communication in Libraries and Documentation Centers by Facultad Latinoamerica de Ciencias Sociales (2007) and Master in Information and Documentation Sciences (2012) from the University of Évora, with the dissertation Cultural diffusion in the Portuguese National Archives and District Archives: documentary exhibitions (1990-2009).
She received a scholarship from the UL Integrated Research Program within the scope of the project Contemporary Memory of Science and Technology at the University of Lisbon (1998-2001) and FCT scholarship in the project Documentary Sources II of the extinct General Directorate of National Buildings and Monuments of the Ministry of Public Works (2002-2005).
Since 2005, she has been a senior technician in the Department of Documentation of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon and since 2010 she has been the coordinator of the 3rd degree Intermediate Management at the Nucleus of Archives and Expedient of the Documentation, Archive and Expedient Area of the Central Services of the University of Lisbon.
