Otelo Saraiva de Carvalho, Vasco Lourenço and Martins Guerreiro will be in Loulé to participate in the inaugural session of the commemorations of the 40th anniversary of the 25th of April in that municipality, which will take place on March 15, at 20:45, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano.
The three soldiers from April will give their vision of the revolution, with a natural expectation for the testimony of Otelo de Carvalho, controversial figure for his role on the 25th of November and accused of being the leader of the terrorist group FP-25.
This solemn ceremony will be moderated by the Rector of the University of Algarve, António Branco.
At the start of the 25th of April celebrations, the Ao Luar Teatro Group, the Flute Ensemble of the Loulé Musical Expression Center and the “As Mondadeiras das Barrosas” Group will also take to the stage of the Cine-Teatro Louletano, for a cultural moment.
The Carnation Revolution commemorative program, in Loulé, extends until the end of the year, in all cities, towns and parishes in the municipality, and will feature several initiatives, with the involvement of schools, institutions and cultural and civic associations of Loule.
In addition to being a way of marking and remembering this event, these initiatives aim to promote among the youngest, in a pedagogical way, the fundamental values of what was one of the most important and decisive historical moments in the country.
