“Cobra que não walk does not swallow sapo” is the title of the play that the Experimental Theater Group of the Cultural Association of Lagoa Ideias do Levante premieres tomorrow, March 27, World Theater Day, at the Convento S. José Auditorium, in Lagoa .

The staging is in charge of Meire Gomes, and the text is the result of improvisation (and adaptation) by the stage director and the participating actors: Andreia Branco, Carla Constantino, Maria Lopes, Meire Gomes, Patrícia Fernandes, João Cintra, and Paulo Nóbrega.

The play premieres at 21 pm, in a production by Ideias do Levante, in partnership with the Municipality of Lagoa.

According to the director, this show is, "beyond appearances, a criticism of the behavior of some so-called existing values in society."

Meire Gomes considers the text to be «ironic, intelligent, at times subtle, at others aggressive, but above all it is a humorous text, transporting the viewer to a meeting of some friends in a cafe, between cups, confessions and laughter». Finally, the text is an “example of the complexity of human relationships, whether social or individual, of a group of people placed in an adverse environment”.

This show is recommended for people over 16 years old and will take place in a room with a maximum capacity of 90 seats.

Tickets (offer) can be collected at the ticket office of Convento S. José (Tel. 282380473), in Lagoa, or also, on the day of the show, from 20:30 pm. The opening hours of the ticket office at Convento S. José are from Tuesday to Friday (except holidays), from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm.
