The project for the execution of the last phase of the Circular North of São Brás de Alportel was unanimously approved at a meeting of the Chamber last week, with the objective of continuing Phase 3.1, currently in progress.

This is the last stage in the construction of an infrastructure that allows the completion of the access ring to the urban nucleus of the town, a fundamental investment for the improvement of traffic circulation and for the renewal of the municipality's urban image.

The Circular Norte, completed in its entirety, is the main link between the southern bypass, Regional Road 270 and National Road No. 2 and, in addition to improving access conditions to the urban centre, it helps to avoid congestion. on traffic routes, increase functionality when traveling and reduce road accidents, increasing the safety and quality of life of citizens.

With a base cost of 941 thousand euros, plus VAT, this work consists of the construction of the last section of this road, with 710 meters, two lanes in each direction, separator, sidewalk and cycle path, as well as all the complementary drainage infrastructure , irrigation and public lighting.

The execution of this work is, at the moment, subject to the approval of the application submitted to community funds managed by the Regional Coordination and Development Commission of the Algarve. After the consignment must be completed within nine months.
