The theme «Solidarity and Inclusion» was debated last Wednesday, in São Brás de Alportel, at a new Community Forum, held as part of the process of drafting the Municipality's Social Charter.

This second debate with the population, which follows the theme "Employment and Entrepreneurship", brought together more than fifty people, integrated in the most diverse entities, associations and local and regional groups, "to share opinions, suggestions and concerns , in a particularly difficult context in which, as a result of the crisis, social problems proliferate», according to the City Council of São Brás, which promoted the debate in partnership with Associação In Loco.

Social exclusion, poverty, unemployment and an aging population were among the most discussed issues. The session included the presentation of the social diagnosis of the municipality, "which constitutes a fundamental part of the Social Charter".

"At this moment, it is possible to know the trends and symptoms that need to be addressed, with a strategic planning exercise for the coming years, namely from 2014 to 2020, the period of validity of this document, meeting the period of validity of this document. of the new Community Support Frameworks», added the municipality.

According to the forecasts of the City of São Brás, the Municipality's Social Charter should be finalized to be presented to the public next June, when the municipality celebrates its 100 years of history.
